(1). material transportation

Gabion mesh is machine woven mesh , formed by wire selection , weaving mesh, cutting mesh, crocheting, inspection etc . Gabion mesh can be roll ,or cage compressed and packaged, convenient for workers to easily pack and ship. Tie wires are supplied in coils. It would be better put the gabion mesh in dry environment , bind tightly ,easy to ship.

(2) Installation requirements

Gabion mesh will be placed on a stable surface to unfold, pressing the extra crease.   Fix front and behind sheet ,bottom sheet and partition sheet into a certain place , formed box shape . The four corners of adjacent cage group is connected with double strand wire. Upper and lower frame wire or fold wire is fixed by screw wires

Gabion cage is divided into several cells by separate partition , in order to strengthen the mat structure strength, all sheets side end use large wire. Place several empty gabion mesh in flat ground and join together . If has sublayer mesh box group, binding adjacent bottom wire frame of upper mesh box group

it must tie surface frame wire of sublayer mesh box group with mesh panel. Use screw wire to fix ,in order to join together . Put mesh lid fold down , and connect with front sheet, side sheet and partition sheet.

（3） installation process

Use about 1.5 times longer than the edge wire binding. The longest side wire box generally no more than 1m. All plate edge wires use large steel wire. Connect adjacent mesh box group from top and bottom four corner with single strand wire or double strand wire . Double strand distance is not bigger than 300mm. Use binding wire screw to fix upper and bottom frame wire or bolded wire tightly . The largest edge end distance is 300mm . It can use pliers fixed tightly. when banding ,need to protect coated wire surface, not to be damaged. If the customer needs, we may send professionals to guide

4）Foundation preparation

Gabion mesh need lay sloping surface or foundation ditch according to drawing. Make sloping surfaces or foundation ditch flat and splash loose soil and relative plant . The drainage around the foundation need to be done to a reasonable measurement . In the slope protection structures, gabion mesh side can also be installed civil textiles according to the requirements

（5）installation and material

After the foundation is ready , put pre-installation gabion mesh without filling in proper position, along the border to link the various parts to form a continuous unified whole.     

The stone need to conform to quarrying rules, can take rock-breaking machine to break super-size stone to meet needs. The stone is hard, smooth edges and corners and durability. It would not crack if stone soaked in water or exposed to the sun or other bad circumstances .  

Stone should be between 100mm to 200mm, tolerance is ± 5%, not exposed to the surface. In addition, the largest stone do not exceed 250mm, the smallest not less than 50mm. 1m high gabion mesh can be fitted into 300mm high stone, 0.5m high gabion mesh can be fitted into 250mm high stone.

Stone will be filled to gabion mesh, generally each layer thickness is about 30cm and proper tamping, stacked flat surface.  If mesh box thickness is below 30 cm, it can be carried out one-time filler. When fill stone ,need to pay more attention not to destroy the PVC coating .

Gabion mesh filling use mechanical and manual method. First of all, mechanical equipment filling is no more than 1 / 2 gabion mesh height , then use manual work to place stone neatly with small stone and continue to load. We suggest that small stone filling should be mainly internal and external should not use small stone . Gabion mesh filling can be smaller for slope protection , larger for flood control project .

Gabion mesh installed at wall bottom should be bare two sides, reinforced verticality fixed on the side. 0.5m high gabion mesh do not need to add steel bar to fix in the slope protection . When need install multilayer gabion mesh , each loaded about 25-40mm . The top surface should be neat, leaving a minimum gap to ensure top partition easy to install .

（6）sealing

Put stone into gabion mesh reasonably with leaving min space ,then cover the lid . Binding the frame wire of mesh lid and mesh body so that link single gabion mesh and other adjacent gabion mesh . Be careful not to damage to mesh wire and PVC coating . Mesh lid covered with protruding side wires needs to be twice around the perimeter, tied to the edge. The lid need to tie tightly with mesh body and other parts . At the same time adjacent mesh lid is also need to tie tightly. Finally, the sharp point should be incurved and make it smooth and beautiful.
