Characteristics
Stainless steel 304
the basic stainless alloy commonly used for crimped wire mesh. It withstands outdoor exposure without rusting and resists oxidation at an elevated temperature up to 800 °C. 304 is used in industrial, commercial and domestic fields because of its good corrosion and heat resisting properties.
Stainless steel 304L
304L is very similar to 304, the difference being the reduced carbon content for better weaving and secondary welding characteristics.
Stainless steel 316
316 has better resistance to pitting corrosion where brines, sulphur-bearing water or halogen salts. A valuable property of 316 is high creep strength at elevated Temperatures.316 also possesses excellent mechanical and corrosion properties at sub-zero temperatures.
Stainless steel 316L
316L is almost similar to 316, the difference being the reduced carbon content for better wire mesh weaving and secondary welding characteristics.
Low carbon steel
It is a very popular metal that is commonly manufactured in wire mesh.It is a relatively low cost option and does not resist corrosion and will rust in most atmospheric conditions
Medium & high carbon steel
has a higher ratio of carbon to iron than low-carbon steel.With such a high carbon content, it is stronger and harder but less ductile than low-carbon steel.

Brass
