The Introduction of Screening Surfaces

Screening surfaces of shale shaker screen used in solids control equipment are generally made from stainless steel woven wire mesh.

The following characteristics of woven wire mesh screen are important in solids control applications.

Shale shaker screen may be formed with one or more layers. Non-layered screens have a single layer, fine-mesh, woven wire mesh mounted on a screen panel.

These screens have openings in regular sizes and shapes. Layered screens have two or more fine mesh mounted on a screen panel.

These screens will have openings that vary greatly in size and shape.
