Operation and Fault in The Conical Strainers

Conical strainers are passive items that will prevent the onward movement of dirt and debris which is larger than the holes in the mesh.

The pressure drop across the conical  strainer will increase as the mesh becomes blocked.

The resistance of the mesh will depend on the fluid and the pressure going through the system.

Do not fit a conical strainer as a permanent items.

The maximum differential pressure possible is dependant on the system conditions.
